The platform
Platform scales are robust, industrial weighing systems that operate with a single-point load cell or four stainless steel shear beam load cells. The load cells are mounted under a sturdy frame construction with a load plate. The load is placed on the platform and the load cells measure the weight precisely. Depending on the model, various standard and special dimensions are available, including round designs.
The load cells used are calibratable and meet the highest protection classes up to IP69/69k, making them resistant to moisture and dust. The platforms themselves can be made of coated steel, galvanized material, or stainless steel. Removable load plates provide additional flexibility. A mixture of materials is possible, for example, a painted substructure can be combined with a stainless steel load plate. The result is a high-quality and, at the same time, price-optimized version of this weighing system.
Evaluation
Weight is recorded via connected evaluation electronics, which amplify the signal from the load cells and display the weight on a screen. Various interfaces enable seamless integration into existing systems. The weighing technology can therefore be easily integrated into industrial control systems or data networks.
In addition to the standard weighing function, the system can be used for dosing or filling processes, piece counting, as a checkweigher, and much more, as required.
In conjunction with a pit frame, platform scales can be installed at ground level or, alternatively, driven onto with ramps. Low-profile drive-through scales with integrated ramps are also available to optimize and automate operational processes.
ATEX versions for zones 1/2/21/22 are available for potentially explosive areas.
Mobile solutions – vehicle weighing
A flexible system consisting of several mobile weighing platforms is available for weighing vehicles (cars and trucks) and bulky goods. These platforms can be positioned flexibly and connected to the evaluation electronics either by cable or radio. The system is suitable for measuring ranges from 1,000 kg to 100,000 kg. A battery-powered evaluation unit in a robust transport case is available especially for mobile applications.
